Description:

The Z-89 Non-Fire EAP + ASMEP course 11-hour course is designed specifically for candidates who need to acquire this certification to progress to taking the computer-based tests, especially after failing a second attempt of the Z-89 Non-Fire Emergency computer-based test. By completing this second component, candidates can complete their certification requirements without retaking the entire course series.

Why It’s Essential:

High-rise office buildings, hotels, and commercial structures equipped with fire alarm systems and two-way voice communication require a certified Fire and Life Safety Director (FLSD) on-site during business hours. The FLSD plays a pivotal role in safeguarding occupants and visitors, coordinating fire safety efforts, and leading evacuation procedures during emergencies.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Emergency Action Plan: Understand and effectively respond to non-fire emergencies.
  • Active Shooter Preparedness: Learn strategies and protocols to manage active shooter situations.

Eligibility and Certification:

To proceed with the Fire and Life Safety Director Certificate of Fitness, candidates must complete both the Fire Emergency and Non-Fire EAP + ASMEP components. This 11-hour course fulfills the requirement for the latter, allowing candidates to move forward to the computer-based tests necessary for certification.
